Dan qualified just two tenths of a second behind teammate Matt Neal – who would line up fifth – but in the ultra-competitive BTCC it meant he would start in 14th. In race one Dan made up one position to finish 13th, while Neal crossed the line in the fifth position he started from.

For race two Dan made, in his own words “his best start of the season” only to be hit from behind on the first lap which hindered his progress moving forward and he had to battle to a 12th place finish, while Neal secured the fourth podium for the team this year as he came home an excellent second.

Fortune failed to favour Dan in race three as he received a puncture on the third lap after contact with Ollie Jackson and retired from the race. Matt lost out battling hard with Tom Ingram at Druids on Lap 8 and tumbled down the order to 14th at the end of the contest.
