Daniel Cammish will be going to Silverstone for rounds 12 & 13 targeting nothing less than victory.

The 1.6-mile six-turn National circuit has been a happy hunting ground for the Leeds-based driver. He scored a double podium in 2015, which was enough to take his first Carrera Cup GB title. In 2016 he went one better taking a brace of victories to seal the title double in his Nationwide Crash Repair/PPG Paint backed car.

Dan suffered misfortune last time out at Knockhill in Scotland when rival Charlie Eastwood forced him off the track whilst fighting for the lead of race two. Charlie went on to win the race but was given a ten-place grid penalty for Silverstone as well as points on his license. With dropped scores taken into account, Dan now lies 20 points behind in the championship standings.

With Eastwood’s penalty being applied after qualifying Cammish will be looking for a clean sweep of pole positions and victories to hammer home his advantage. Dan will revel in the opportunity presented by Silverstone; the hunted has now become the hunter.

Dan will be reacquainting himself with his 991-type GT3 Cup car and the National circuit on Tuesday when he participates in the championship group test. He will then be out for the two free practice sessions on Friday with the first taking place at 09:00, followed by a lunchtime session at 13:30. Qualifying will be at 13:25 on Saturday with the first race on Sunday morning at 09:40. The second race will be televised live on ITV4 at 15:15.
