“I’m very happy with the result. It was great to carry the speed we had in testing right through to qualifying! The car was brilliant to drive, so I owe a big thank you to the Redline team. Luckily, the weather held off so we got a completely dry session and I’m hoping we can carry this momentum into Sunday and get two strong results.”
Daniel Cammish claimed pole position for rounds 12 & 13 of the Porsche Carrera Cup GB at Silverstone, with a gap of just one tenth over second-placed Dino Zamparelli.
Dan set the two fastest times of the session in the Nationwide Crash Repair car, despite cool conditions making it hard for drivers to get heat into the tyres. He went to the top of the times ahead of rival Charlie Eastwood, fending off efforts from Tio Ellinas and Zamparelli before digging deep to improve his time even further.
Round 12 of the season starts at 09:40 on Sunday morning, while round 13 will be televised live on ITV4 at 15:15.
