Daniel Cammish heads to Silverstone for rounds three and four of the 2016 Porsche Carrera Cup GB full of confidence for a good weekend’s racing. Dan took a victory and second place in the opening rounds and currently is jointly leading the championship.

The championship heads to the Northamptonshire-based circuit, which makes it its first visit to the Grand Prix circuit in its 14-year history. The Carrera Cup has visited the circuit every year of its history but has always raced on the National circuit configuration preferred by touring cars.

Dan has previous experience of the Grand Prix circuit having competed in the Porsche Supercup event during last year’s British Grand Prix. He also tested on the circuit earlier in the year after the Porsche Media Day.

The championship steps away from its usual slot as a major support race of the British Touring Car Championship and joins the World Endurance Championship for the weekend. The Carrera Cup did the same last season, supporting the WEC at the historic Spa-Francorchamps but this year will mark the first time the Carrera Cup will race on the Grand Prix circuit.

Qualifying takes place on Saturday morning at 10:10 with race one following at 12:55. The first race will last 45 minutes and will be a rolling start. Race two will be held on Sunday morning and guests will be able to enjoy a grid walk before the 30-minute race starts at 9:10.
