Racing driver Dan Cammish is set for the final two races in the 2021 Porsche Carrera Cup GB as he aims to make history at Brands Hatch by becoming the first driver in the series’ history to take three overall championship titles.

In addition to the title fight, the Yorkshireman is just one victory behind mentor Tim Harvey for the most race wins in the series, having taken his 35th victory at Silverstone in September.

Heading to the Kent venue, Dan is one of four drivers in with a mathematical shot at the title, but with a seven-point lead in the standings, knows that he controls his own destiny. A maximum of 26 points will be on offer across the weekend, with two for pole position, 12 for victory in race one, ten for winning race two, plus an additional point for the fastest lap in each race, proving nothing can be taken for granted.

The Duckhams Oils and Porsche Centre Preston supported driver comes into the weekend with good experience and previous results on the Brands Hatch Grand Prix circuit layout, having secured five wins in eight previous races in the Carrera Cup, including a debut win as a guest driver in 2014.

Dan will have two practice sessions on Friday, October 22, before a vital qualifying session which takes place the following afternoon at 14:20. The races are scheduled for 12:10 and 16:20 on Sunday, October 24, both of which should be broadcast live on ITV4, where a new champion will be crowned.
