Dan Cammish is ready to put his opening weekend woes behind him as he and his Napa Racing UK / Motorbase Performance team head to Brands Hatch for rounds four, five, and six of the British Touring Car Championship (BTCC) season.

The Yorkshireman, who is a record-breaking three-time Porsche Carrera Cup GB title holder as well as a BTCC race winner, suffered an unusual car fire when a split fuel line meant his qualifying session at Donington Park ended in flames, before an almost sleepless night by the team fixed the damage to get him on the grid on race day.

Despite making up 12 places in race one, gaining six before a puncture in race two, and another eight positions in race three, Dan only had one point scoring finish to show for his and the team’s efforts in a dispiriting weekend. Regardless, all involved are ready to bounce back this time out and get the season back on track.

Competitors will have two 40-minute free practice sessions at 09:30 and 12:05 on Saturday, May 14th, to familiarise themselves with a Brands Hatch Indy circuit which has been resurfaced in places, before qualifying at 15:50 which will be shown live on ITV’s BTCC website.

After a pit walk and autograph session at 09:00 on Sunday morning, there will be three 24-lap contests set for 11:30, 14:10, and 16:15, with live coverage not only on ITV4 but also ITV1 for three hours during the afternoon, further boosting exposure for teams, drivers, and fans of the series.
