Dan Cammish heads to Brands Hatch this weekend (October 7/8) for the final rounds of the 2023 British Touring Car Championship season, aiming to finish on a high note after some terrible luck in recent races.

The Yorkshireman suffered a front brake failure at Donington Park which sent him into the barriers at high speed, moments after topping the times in FP1 and, with his NAPA Racing Ford Focus ST damaged beyond repair in the incident, he was forced to sit out the rest of the weekend’s action.

At Silverstone last time out, Dan was unable to finish any of the three races, being caught up in a moment for Colin Turkington, who spun across the front of his car leaving him nowhere to go and causing damage to the radiator, while in both races two and three meanwhile, he twice had tyre failures, again through no fault of his own.

Coming into Brands Hatch, Dan knows the car is still quick and those non-finishes were unusual events out of his control. He boasts an impressive track record at the circuit, having clinched his inaugural BTCC victory there in 2018, followed by a second triumph during the same weekend and wins in both 2019 and 2020.

As ever, coverage of all three races will be broadcast live on ITV4 on Sunday October 8th, while qualifying will also be shown on the ITV Sport YouTube channel on Saturday afternoon in the UK.
